Children Are Learning


Vision Statement - It is our vision that children, families and educators are engaged in joyful meaningful learning as part of a connected community which fosters respect and values diversity.


The Children are Learning Pillar Committee is composed of various organizations, agencies, programs and services with an interest or mandate to support children's learning leading to optimal development. 


Using the community determined priority indicators:

  • Participation in pre-school learning opportunities
  • Literacy Levels

and secondary indicators:

  • Being developmentally ready for school
  • Student achievement

The Committee will focus their efforts to devise a workplan and work as a collective on the activities/tasks outlined in the workplan to support and improve children learning.

The Children are Learning Pillar Committee contineus to review the Ministry of Education's Think, Feel, Act videos regarding emergent pedagogy and look for ways to implement its messaging in Niagara's early learning environment. The videos can be viewed here.
